Meaning Making Machines

Humans…

We all have the need for a “meaningful” life.

Then we go around creating endless possibilities, stories, brackets of meaningless past situations.

Yes. Your life doesn’t mean anything, my life doesn’t mean a thing too.

Each of us put a value of care into it. And it’s what keeps us perhaps driving in control or being the passengers of our individual lifestyles.

Maybe just procrastinating for “IT” to just happen to or for us. When YOU could be doing anything you want.

The future is in fact NOW, it is filled with emptiness for US to create whatever the heck we want.

  • Constant opportunities to keep on with our insatiable cravings of creating meaning for It.
  • For us to believe in everything we decide to believe on.
  • Anything is possible.
  • We are the only ones responsable to make it happen the way we want.

  • Welcome to the extraordinarily, ordinary, meaningless of life!

    1. What gives you the strange notion you could be doing anything you want ? Most people struggle to put themselves in a financial position to do some of the things they want .
For others life takes them unawares and gives them an incurable disease or nature destroys their empire at a stroke.

      1. Hello flawedman!
Well, if you pay attention on what you are asking me you will notice that you are putting on an excuses on top of your “wants”. To me, shows that you’re curious about reaching for whatever you have your eye on.
Yet, you are making an absurd excuse about money/finance.
Do you know that millions of money gets
        printed everyday?!?
        Money is everywhere!
What has stopped you to go get it???
        Procrastination?
Excuses…. you make those your reality when in fact, it is just a well “story tale” put together that only YOU choose to believe in.
Are you courageous enough to accept that you are the head of that story that you have created to be real and heavy on you?
It is just that, a story that you decided to stand by to make every aspect of IT your truth and reality.

    2. People can accept whatever diseases they have to learn a new lifestyle, look at people that have lost arms or legs they understands that that was not going to rule their life therefore they became Olympic medalists!
People with cancer decided to live differently even when they knew they had a small period of time left.
      They made it possible.

    3. You are right that some people of strong character make the most of dire circumstances but that does not mean they don’t regret the hand they are dealt. Not everybody is courageous some collapse under duress.
To talk of excuses is dangerous talk because it leads people to believe they must not fail in whatever they pursue.
Reality is not something we totally control for example I was lucky enough to be born into a rich country.

    4. A dangerous statement similar to one I often hear ‘ it’s all in the mind ‘ I cannot accept that the condition that billions of people find themselves in is all in their minds.

      1. It’s because we humans fight to believe the meaning we are accepting as reality.
Pressure… simply doesn’t exist. But some stand by the IDEA so you get out of the responsibility of simply being.
And it is costing them/us life.
Give me pressure. Show me pressure.
I know you can’t bc it doesn’t exist.
        We create that.

    5. Your playing with semantics. All that happens to us we receive through our five senses . Pressure is simply the expression of how we feel about our situation at a given time. It is true that some can face danger better than others because they control their reactions better than others.
Simply being is a Buddhist idea that they claim is to be attained by meditation. It may work for a select few but most of us lead normal lives.
Buddhism depends on Karma which is an unproven concept.

      1. I don’t know about others, you might be right about different potentials individually.
I believe in what is happening and what had happened in my own life.
I’m not a Buddhist, I’m just aware that the only limits I put to myself is the ones I’ve created. And If i created them I can vanish them too by being authentic to myself.
It could be a hard work, for someone like me that has been stocked in my “reality” for a good amount of years.
But once I learned about the things that I didn’t know that, I didn’t know… it’s an awakening relief that I can do everything I want.
        Life is meaningless and empty.
With a vast room for our daily creations.
Like physics… we need emptiness for things to be done.

It’s all about embracing of how I am, and acknowledge that there’s a SEA OF OPINIONS
        (An endless one)
Accepting that it is the way it is, eliminating concepts about it.

        1. The concept of IQ tells us that there are wide differences in intelligence and scientists have discovered the bell curve. To be a member of MENSA you have to be over 140 which is very few percentage wise. Just for the record my IQ is 105 slightly above average.
You are right about emptiness and space and we fill up our lives and block much else we could do. I did little else but work and bring up four children until I was 61 and retirement freed me to educate myself. I’m 77 now and I’ve dabbled in all sorts of things .
Opinions are subjective but scientific knowledge is objective but of course there is some debate around what is scientific and to be scientific it must be capable of being falsified.
Much of what is presented as science is science fiction incapable of falsification , interesting and it could be true but who knows?
I will watch the video and give my comments thanks for sending.

    6. Life is meaningless unless you bring meaning to it. It is up to us to create our own existence. Unless you do something, unless you make something it’s as though you aren’t there.
